# News x402 — Market and OSINT Intelligence

Use this API when an agent needs current global news evidence, market-moving media
signals, geopolitical monitoring, cross-language coverage, or source-diversity checks.

Parameters:
- `query` (required): company, ticker, person, event, country, or topic.
- `audience`: `markets`, `osint`, or `general` (default `markets`).
- `timespan`: `15min`, `1h`, `4h`, `24h`, `3d`, `7d`, `1w`, `1m`, or `3m`.
- `limit`: number of cited stories, 1–30 (default 10).

Use `markets` for companies, tickers, commodities, macro events, earnings, and
regulatory catalysts. Use `osint` for conflicts, elections, sanctions, protests,
organizations, people, and cross-border narrative monitoring.

The response contains `summary`, `coverage`, `sentiment`, `top_stories`,
`top_sources`, `top_geographies`, `languages`, `risk_flags`, and `warnings`.
Always preserve the source URLs when presenting findings. Treat sentiment as media
tone, not as a factual prediction or investment recommendation.

## Payment

Requests use x402 v2 and USDC on Base. An unpaid call returns HTTP 402 and a
`PAYMENT-REQUIRED` header. Retry the same URL with a valid `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE`.
Invalid GET parameters are rejected before payment. HTTP 5xx responses are not settled.
